Our Team
Escuela Bíblica en Línea exists to share faithful biblical teaching and edifying resources with the Spanish-speaking world. This work is made possible through the ongoing service of a small team and the voluntary collaboration of individuals who have provided lessons and materials for translation and adaptation.
Staff
Marlon Retana
Preacher and Bible teacher. He serves as Director and Instructor of Escuela Bíblica en Línea, overseeing teaching efforts, resource development, and educational projects in Spanish.
Jonathan Retana
Beginning in February 2026, Jonathan joined the Escuela Bíblica en Línea team, supporting biblical teaching as Video Editor and Graphic Designer.
Volunteers and Collaborators
The following individuals have contributed on a voluntary basis, providing lessons and materials that have been translated and adapted for use by Escuela Bíblica en Línea. Director of the Spanish Department at Brown Trail School of Preaching; instructor of the Greek and Hermeneutics courses.
Don Blackwell
Director of Gospel Broadcasting Network; author of numerous video lessons that have been translated and adapted into thematic series.
Kyle Butt
Author and editor with Apologetics Press; his materials on creation and Christian evidences have been adapted into various study series.
Eric Lyons
Editor and author with Apologetics Press; his lessons on apologetics and Christian evidences have been translated for educational use.
Jim Lloyd
Preacher and instructor at Southwest School of Bible Studies; he has provided lessons for translation and use in educational resources.
Branyon May
General Manager of World Video Bible School; collaborator through the provision of material used in the Christian Evidences course.
Jackeline (Jacky) Retana
Instructor for women’s classes and support in the review of educational materials.
Troy Spradlin
Preacher and author; his book Principios Elementales (Elementary Principles) and several video lessons have been used in the training of new Christians.
Rob Whitacre
Director of House to House School of Evangelism; his contribution has included allowing the translation and teaching of evangelistic resources such as Back to the Bible, Does It Matter?, Believe the Bible, and related seminars.
Acknowledgment
We thank God for every individual and congregation that has financially supported Escuela Bíblica en Línea. Their donations and contributions make it possible for all content to be offered free of charge to those who study and access our resources. We also thank God for every person who has served using their abilities for the benefit of others, following the biblical principle of using what has been received for the common good.
We wish to express special appreciation to Rudy Cain, Charles M. “Chuck” Horner, Russell Haffner, and Branyon May of World Video Bible School, for their willingness to collaborate in expanding biblical teaching to the Spanish-speaking world and for the invitation extended to the Director, Marlon Retana, to begin this project.
In its early stages, this effort consisted of four videos. Over time, and by God’s grace, the work has grown to more than four hundred videos, many other visual and printed resources, and continues to expand through the development of new courses and thematic lessons.
In a special way, it was very encouraging that, upon learning of the beginning of Escuela Bíblica en Línea, “Chuck” Horner shared that since the early days of World Video Bible School he had been praying that God would provide someone to take on this work. That comment served as meaningful encouragement to begin and persevere in this effort.
We conclude by thanking God and reaffirming our commitment that everything carried out through Escuela Bíblica en Línea is done for the honor and glory of God.
